CONDITIONAL TYPE OF ACCEPTANCE

Moving forward in our journey of acceptance..there is a type named CONDITIONAL, this is the type of acceptance whereby for an individual to accept others and themselves they feel required to modify the initial conditions before the final acceptance is made. Here, adjustments are made and issues of concern are rectified. For example, people are made an offer of something that they are willing to agree on as long as some changes are made in their terms.

This type of acceptance is mostly seen in romantic relationships or friendships, the likes of relations that operate like barter system; the exchange of goods for services or vise versa. The conditional acceptance in this regard is shown whereby individuals are selective of who they decide to be in a relationship or friendship with based on what they will gain from that relation in return.

Have you ever felt conditionally accepted?😎

Truth is conditional acceptance is what gives every individual a sense of authority as it enables them to be selective of what they want or don't. Have any of you realised that most things in your life are conditionally accepted only by certain conditions that reach your standards or likes? Your choice of friends, partners or companions is dictated by the qualities you see in those people based on your likes...

As far as conditional acceptance is concerned, is it ohkayy to accept people only when changes are made about them or do people just have to be accepted and loved just as they are?🤔

I believe if it's love then changes need be made so that not much of one's personality is changed, know how people change to belong in others company. Its more an effort if both parties change their mindsets to accommodate other's mishaps and personalities
Totally agree with you ❤️

I have experienced conditional acceptance. This is at times called partial acceptance where we seek validation from others. It is good however, at times it is caused by inferiority due to circumstantial factors such as social status, background, education and gender. And it is mostly one sided. If you experience conditional acceptance, you're the only giving. There's a reason why it is called feedback= you feed, they must be feed you back also.

I honestly believe that as an individual, you should be loved and accepted for who you are not because of conditions. It seems to me that it's not acceptance and love if one fills that if certain conditions are not present in someone it's over. I mean for me Acceptance should be unconditional, you should love and accept one as they are.
